St Johns 2017 All-County Softball

FIRST TEAM

Player of the Year: Reedy Davenport, junior, Bartram Trail: Hit .480 with a .522 on-base percentage; scored 45 runs, drove in 46 and had 27 extra base hits in 28 games to lead the Bears to a 23-5 record and a second straight district championship.

Pitcher: Lexie Schivley, senior, Creekside: The three-time first team All-County selection was 8-4 with a 1.76 ERA.

Pitcher: Michelle Holder, sophomore, Ponte Vedra: The two-time first team All-County selection finished with a 21-8 record and a 2.02 ERA in 166 innings. She struck out 125 batters and led the Sharks to a third appearance in the state semifinals. At the plate, she hit .370 and led the team with 34 RBIs.

Catcher: Taylor Bradshaw, senior, Ponte Vedra: The four-year starter had 13 RBIs and 19 runs scored. Her defense and leadership were major reasons why Ponte Vedra advanced to the state semifinals.

First Base: Savannah Parker, junior, Bartram Trail: The Florida State commitment led St. Johns County with eight home runs. She hit .458 with eight doubles, 30 runs scored, 45 RBIs and a .560 on-base percentage.

Second Base: Kiley Hennessey, junior, Ponte Vedra: Hit .441 for the season, scored 18 runs and drove in 13 more for the Sharks.

Shortstop: Reedy Davenport, junior, Bartram Trail: The Florida Gulf Coast commitment also hit .581 with runners in scoring position and stole 16 bases.

Third Base: Bailey Wagoner, sophomore, Ponte Vedra: Hit .429 and drove in 29 RBIs for the Region 1-6A champions. She also drove in a run in the Sharks’ 11-3 loss to Plantation American Heritage in the state semifinals.

Outfield: Scotland David, freshman, Ponte Vedra: The Oklahoma State commitment hit .789 in six district, regional and state playoff games, and scored 15 runs. For the season, she hit .520 with 48 runs scored, 25 RBIs, seven triples, six doubles and 16 stolen bases.

Outfield: Farley Callaghan, senior, Ponte Vedra: She made 111 plate appearances during the 2017 season and struck out only twice. For the season, the Florida Gulf Coast signee hit .368 with 24 RBIs, 21 runs scored and made only one error defensively.

Outfield: Olivia Creamer, junior, Bartram Trail: Finished with a .381 average, .408 on-base percentage, with six doubles, five home runs, 23 runs scored and 29 RBIs. The versatile athlete spent most of the season in the outfield, but also pitched and played second base.

Utility: Bailey Pattison, junior, Nease: The Mercer commitment was 11-7 with a 1.83 ERA in the circle and 147 strikeouts in 107 innings. Offensively, the two-time first team All-County selection hit .529 in 17 games with with three home runs and 26 RBIs.

SECOND TEAM

Pitcher: Nicole Masanko, Bartram Trail.

Catcher: Alyssa Morin, Creekside.

Infield: Jenae Wash, Bartram Trail.

Infield: Lexi Poore, Menendez.

Infield: Michelle Leone, Ponte Vedra.

Infield: Jule Campbell, Creekside.

Infield: Mary Thompson, Nease.

Outfield: Amanda Haltiwanger, Creekside.

Outfield: Quinlan Richmond, Ponte Vedra.

Outfield: Maegan O’Brien, Bartram Trail.

Utility: Leah Bryant, Menendez.
